Mr. Burns practices in a variety of real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, commercial leasing, financing and joint ventures, representing landlords, tenants, developers, owners, buyers and borrowers. Mr. Burns has extensive experience with office, industrial, retail and restaurant leasing transactions, counseling both landlord and tenants, including large and smaller scale landlords, tenants and restaurant franchisees. He has also represented buyers and sellers in all aspects of acquisitions and dispositions of real property (such as office buildings, industrial parks, retail and mixed use shopping centers, single tenant parcels, hotels, and unimproved land), including purchase and sale documentation, property due diligence and title review matters, joint venture formation and financing.

Additionally, Mr. Burns has experience in general corporate and business transactional matters for small to mid-range businesses, including entity structuring and formation, acquisitions and sales, and other contractual needs of clients’ ongoing business operations.

Mr. Burns graduated from the University of Southern California in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and from Loyola Law School in 2017 with a Juris Doctor. He is admitted to the California Bar. Mr. Burns was formerly an associate at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, a Global 100 firm, and began his career in the legal field in 2011 as a legal assistant/law clerk at Sheppard Mullin in the firm’s real estate practice group.
